The Clockwork Automaton

A puzzle game to play with Gemini Live

Gemini Live is made for talking. The Clockwork Automaton gives that conversation a job: describe the automaton on your screen while Gemini works through the maker's notebook and tells you what to press before the spring runs down.

Every round is shuffled from the serial plate and the three lamps, so the same notebook gives a different answer each time.

The full game: the automaton's face, gears, masks, bells and hallmark tiles under a serial plate, three lamps and a spring dial

How to set it up

  1. Paste the notebook into a Gemini chat first (the Copy the notebook button on the start screen), or give it the notebook page link. Ask it to confirm it has read it.
  2. Start Gemini Live from that chat. If Live does not seem to know the notebook, paste it again or play by typing in the chat.
  3. Wind the spring. Serial plate, lamps and faults first, then one module at a time.

Do not share your screen

Gemini Live can see your screen or camera if you share it. Keep both private: the game is the gap between what you see and what it knows.
